So talented!! I’ve never had the discipline to learn photorealism so I respect it massively in others that have

Thanks a lot! I love to draw. I enjoy realism, but it’s really the surrealism aspect that I enjoy most. Drawing real objects and things and then distorting them in a surreal way.

Yeah I know what you mean! Any style or tool is just a means to an ends after all, but at such high detail the amount of work and polish required seems to increase exponentially, at least for my own work haha. So massive props for making it look effortless

I can’t believe that’s real. The detail and texture is amazing. I’m not sure if you’re open to critique, but the butt of the gun seems to stand out as different than the rest. The shading and texturing of the head and horns visually leap from the page as if they’re actually coming out of the page. The rib cage, too. The butt of the gun seems flat compared to the rest. Was this intentional?

Thanks! I really appreciate it. I totally see that. Yeah, my rendering on the gun seems more flat as I wasn’t confident on the light source or how to make it more three dimensional. I drew this in 2016 and was still early in my switch to pencil and realism/surrealism. Definitely not intentional, just lacking the skills.
